I'll install pine server, and have everyone use PINE off-line via TCP/IP network. The hardware I have is: 486-66DX2, 16MB RAM (Can add more) 1G IDE + SVGA card & 3COM EThernet I have ruled out Linux & the likes because I can't justify the whole company email operation be base on non-brane name :-( (I have Linux at home) :-)) I have narrowed down to: SCO Unix Sun Solaris IBM AIX Novell Unixware Those 4 are our main choices. Since this is my play machine/project, I can't get $ for a real Sparc/PowerPC :-)) I am looking for recommendation for your input on which machine can serve my need to support about 1000 user id in a production environment (meaning support, and good future).. Everyone will be telnet in, or link through a client for email only. :-) I love the dynamic partition space of AIX. The support of Sun, and the linkability of Novell, and the low cost of SCO :-) :_) Thanks Please email me :-)
