How is saying (essentially) "All of the BSD derivatives suck! Don't use them!"
help move the work ahead?

So far, I've seen several posts saying that the new 4.4-Lite versions are out
in testing phases. The whole point of Alpha, Beta, etc., testing is to find
the bugs so that they can be removed (or is that concept lost on you?

Also, I think you will find this wherever you go. People think that what they
use is the best thing around, because if it weren't good most intelligent
people wouldn't use it.

If they don't have a clue how to write good code, then why is there such
demand for the software that it has hung around this long?

OS/2 is not a unix-like operating system. AIX is the IBM UNIX OS.
Besides, I think the various developement teams have done a great job. I find
it kind of silly to say that any software that you pay nothing for is not
worth what you paid :) I admit, I tend to only pay attention to FreeBSD
(Hey...you follow what you use :) but I think it's quite a testament to their
work that their FTP site is a FreeBSD machine...it can't be all that bad to
support 300 users :) *pats FreeBSD team on the back*
