Take a look at comp.databases. There is a regulary posted
free database article.

Ingres89 doesn't support SQL, it comes with QUEL.
ASK Ingres comes with SQL but the source is not free nor the binaries.
There is no FreeBSD port currently.

Postgres has nothing to do with Ingres. It doesn't support
SQL, instead it uses - POSTQUEL.
