To cut a long story short. I have just bought a second hand 3486 board with AMI
bios. The problem seems to be with the bios although I am open to suggestions.
I cannot get the thing to boot. ie. The keyboard lights flash, the power and turbo LEDs
come on but appart from that nothing. I have tried two different 486DX chips in the
board but with no success. Not a peep from the bios error codes either. I think that
the bios is too old seeing as it is and AMI Bios (C) 1986 and the manual for the board
has (C)1991 on the pictures showing the bios. Not being particulary techie, I hope that
someone out there will be kind enough to email me in person with any sollutions/
comments. Oh does anyone know how to get into contact with American Megatrends?

Ta Much in advance

Richard
