Try FreeBSD, ftp.FreeBSD.org:/pub/FreeBSD or mirrors. FreeBSD-2.0-RELEASE is not available yet but will soon (FreeBSD-2.0-ALPHA is 10 days old). You just have enough time to read FAQs and READMEs :-) You failed to point out that there is also NetBSD. NetBSD-1.0 can be obtained from many ftp sites, including ftp.iastate.edu (we have an esnet connection, so access from .de should be fairly quick). 386BSD is old and unsupported. NetBSD and FreeBSD are derivatives of 386BSD that are much more current and supported. You don't want 386BSD, but one of its derivative systems: NetBSD or FreeBSD. -- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Michael L.
