Mooooo.  Such phenomena give rise to a Microsoft of freeware, with
commensurate quality.

   and... the real reason why students here use Linux:

   1. DOOM for Linux.

If Id or other commercial providers weren't so paranoid about farming
out porting against ND agreements, I or legions of others would have
ported it by now.  I'm sure it's about as hard as typing make,
waiting, and perhaps intelligently kibbitzing a bit.
