I'm a newbie to the whole Unix for PC's shebang. I'v just installed (I think/hope) most of the stuff for FreeBSD and am just working out the kinks for XFree86. I'm running on a Gateway2000 486 and have a HP deskjet 4p. For some reason, I can't get the deskjet to do anything with Unix. I think the emulation it uses is PCL4. Does this mean I need to find a PCL4 emulator to replace/work with lpr? If so, does anyone know where to find such an animal/how to use it? Thx for any help! Matthew. matthew@minerva.cis.yale.edu
