I will upgrade to 2.0-RELEASE, just as soon as I can solve this one problem. 2.0-ALPHA apparently doesn't want to peacefully coexist with a DOS partition...or for that matter, any arrangement where it doesn't take up all of my Maxtor IDE 540-megger (wd1). The common complaint when fsck runs is something to the extent of "Can't read block 16." At which point I repartition wd1, redo the disklabels, etc. etc. and get it working until the next time that it decides to eat itself. I'm not panicking...I have it all backed up (it's not that much stuff) but it's a real pain in the derriere. ___________________________________________________________________ tmonroe@csua.berkeley.edu "Experimental Non-Rabbit" Tony Monroe http://www.csua.berkeley.edu/~tmonroe/ UNIX Weenie and Weirdo ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
