At home I have one Mac, and one MS-DOS/Windows machine. Both machines are connected to a lan (coax ethernet) at home. Now I want to set up something so I can dial in to the FreeBSD machine, and when I do, all machines on my lan at home are connected through this line. I know this is easy when I have a UNIX machine at home which dials in to work, and establishes the connection and routes the traffic from the other two amchines, but alas at home I do not have a UNIX machine. I do have an old 286 which is in fine working order, and has an ethernet card on board. Does anyone know if I can set up this machine with pcroute software so it will dial in to the FreeBSD machine at work and do the routing for the other machines at home ? Can the FreeBSD handle such a connection ? How do I set it up on the FreeBSD end ? Just a normal SLIP account for the pcroute program ? Is there perhaps another way to do this without spending a lot of money ?
