I've placed a release version of the MIT binary distribution of AFS 3.3
for NetBSD/i386 1.0 into the afs-contrib area. I'm calling this release
"1.00". As usual, contact your site AFS administrator to get access to
these files. The distribution itself is constructed as a "package"--see
below for details on getting hold of the package tools.

MD5 hashes of the distribution:
/afs/transarc.com/public/afs-contrib/bin/netbsd.client/
13c846c9645015bd61f6ade4d314d09e afs33-i386.README	1.00
f89847b6ff02dbfffd834908ad04066e afs33-i386.tgz	1.00

Enjoy.

==John

This is the first "real" AFS distribution for NetBSD/i386. [If you want
to run AFS on another port of NetBSD, please contact me at
<jtkohl@mit.edu>. The main sticking point will be machine access to
compile the sources, as I only have i386-architecture machines handy.]

The software in this tar-file (afs33-i386.tgz) should be in decent shape
for daily use.

This distribution of AFS was compiled for NetBSD 1.0. If you are
running an older NetBSD, you must update to NetBSD 1.0 before you will
be able to load this module. (It probably won't work for newer
NetBSD-current variants either).
...

2) Unpack the NetBSD/i386-AFS distribution, using the pkg tools (see
sipb.mit.edu:~ftp/pub/netbsd/tools/i386/pkg_install.tgz):
        # pkg_add -v afs33-i386.tgz
(You may wish to use the '-v' option as well, to watch the progress)
