I know the serial ports : use the dev/cauxx's, but what do i use so XFree86-3.1 will see my : bus mouse : Thanks, Ron : -- First, you need to recompile your kernel... No no, wait! Come back! It's not that bad! Really! First you need to recompile your kernel with bus mouse support. You need to add a line to your kernel config file that looks like this: device mse0 at isa? port 0x23c tty irq 5 vector mseintr Once the new kernel is compiled and running, become root, go to /dev, and then type: # ./MAKEDEV mse0 You can then configure XFree86 to use /dev/mse0 and all should be well. -Bill -- ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ -Bill Paul System Manager wpaul@ctr.columbia.edu Center for Telecommunications Research Columbia University, New York City ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The M00se Illuminati: ignore it and be confused, or join it and be confusing! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
