The subject says it all.  Apparently, you can get Linux from an ftp site and
the C/C++ libraries from an ftp site as well (useful for Unix programmers who
want to program for Unix on their PC's at home).

But is FreeBSD available from ftp sites as well?

BTW, what are these ftp sites anyway?
