Howdy. I'm relatively new to BSD, I ran 386BSD 0.1, FreeBSD 1.0,
1.1Gamma, 1.1, 1.1.5.1, and now 2.0. Unfortunatly my BSD patitions kept
getting the ax as, I never really got any communications software to work
on it. Well with 2.0 (and some more training under SCO) I got pcomm to
compile. Yay!
In doing so I noticed that on the gcc compiler it pukes whenever you have
a redefinition. Is there a switch to ignore this? I'm used to SCO's
compiler which complains, and complains, but still manages to compile
(something like Marvin the Andriod, eh?).
Also, I'm having some difficulties running SCO binaries on my FreeBSD
system. Well, only one.... The don't run. BSD tells me about "(" and
sends me back to zsh without my $200. Is there something special I need
to do to run an SCO binary (an incantation, perhaps?)?
Thanks.
