hi,

i have a encountered a strange problem on my FreeBSD-1.1.5.1 box:

make (and also gnu-make) woes when it encounters a line that starts with
a dot ('.' like '.include <bsd.prog.mk>') ??? i get something like:
Makefile:<line#>: *** missing separator. Stop.
;-( it used to work, and i have no clue what i've changed to cause this ?
any ideas ?

so long,
            frank
