I too have this problem, but it only seems to occur when I use "halt",
and then hit the hardware reset button.

I'm using an old machine for testing purposes:

	386DX-20 ( Phoenix BIOS 1.10 03 )
	8MB RAM
	Adaptec 1542A ( BIOS version 3.07 )
	cheap VGA card
