I was quite happy with the changes to the install process all in all but I found I could not get the automatic FTP installation to work. I tried continually to choose the primary site and would always get a message about my user name being missing or something (I understand from a previous post that this is normal), then nothing for some time. The next thing is that the script would complain about the CHKSUMS being wrong. I'm sure this is just because the ftp has failed. I was able to choose the "select your own site" option and manually ftp the bindist from ftp.freebsd.org without problem. The machine is on an ethernet with a another machine with a PPP link. This was not a large problem for me, I am quite happy with the new release, I just want to help make it better in a small way.
