Well, there's some people who think the BSD systems *are* UNIX.

That's a dangerous thing to go around saying. After all, USL and BSDI came to
a *settlement*. There was no actual court decision. Should X/Open or some
later owner of the trademark (it's gone through so many hands lately I wouldn't
bet it's settled down for good) decide to get nasty, it'd be better to avoid
feeding the lawyers anything. Even if you win a lawsuit it's expensive.
