Larry,

I have switched our systems (we're a Hospital Information Systems vendor) 
from SCO to UW, so I certainly believe that there is a difference in 
performance, stability, reliability, etc between them. Obviously, we believe
that UW is superior. However, that belief is based on empirical data rather
than generalizations about age. (Hell, I'm an old fart *myself* :-)

In short, UW is good enough to stand on it's own merits.
