Date: 6 Dec 1994 23:25:24 GMT Organization: Temple University, Academic Computer Services Lines: 16 Message-ID: <3c2rt4$9cr@cronkite.ocis.temple.edu> NNTP-Posting-Host: bacchus.eng.temple.edu X-Newsreader: TIN [version 1.2 PL2] I have written a program which guards my .plan file and whenever a someone tries to open the file, it executes a program that displays my plan.txt and then execs a shell script that tells the number of messages in my mailbox. It works fine when someone tries to finger my account even when I am not logged in. My Question: I wrote a perl script to identify the USER & HOST fingering the account. It does not work. Can someone tell me / send me a program that saves a list of all the people who fingered my account ? It would be great if the program also checks if I am logged in and if I am, it gives me a message. Rajiv Pant ( Betul ) pant@astro.ocis.temple.edu
