Date: 6 Dec 1994 17:22:40 -0600 Organization: MCSnet, Chicago Area Public Internet Access Lines: 21 Message-ID: <3c2ro0$n9h@Mars.mcs.com> NNTP-Posting-Host: mars.mcs.com Keywords: release notes free bsd 4.4 lite Instead of the FreeBSD specific "Release Notes" file in 2.0-RELEASE, I understand there is a "real" release notes file that came on the 4.4 and 4.4-Lite tapes and/or CD-ROM which gives more technical information on what has changed from 4.3 to 4.4. Is there any chance this document can be included in the FreeBSD release? If I missed it, can someone point me at it? There are significant changes in the UFS filesystem that make FBSD 1.1.5.1 and 2.0R filesystems incompatible. I'm sure there are other significant technical issues, and I'd prefer to read about them BEFORE beginning to install 2.0R. The FreeBSD "release notes" file tends to breeze over major issues.
