The only reason I've ever had to reboot 2.3 machines has been because of
101318-64 problems, and we all make mistakes once in a while. We've got
some machines on an early-access Solaris 2.4 and they've all been up
since they were installed ten days ago.

On the other hand, our 4.1.2 machines have mostly been up since the last
time we had a mains outage, most of them showing uptimes around 160
days. We restarted all our 2.3 machines to update to the latest patches
a few weeks ago, and have been doing so on a fortnightly basis, so we
don't know what uptimes we would see if they were left to free-run.
