Jeeez guys... would you please move this thread to alt.folklore.something and continue your bickering (not only Martin's) away from these groups? Who the hell crossposted this crap anyways?... Sorry, but this whole thing is getting silly. OS such-and-such exists because someone thought that there is a demand for it and that someone would buy it. And if an OS has been around for a while there are two options of what might have happened. Either there is a giant backing the uselessness of an OS with financial power or someone else thought that there is a use for an OS and evidently bought it. Accept that different OS are made for different demands. Ok? As much as there are different demands there are different ways to satisfy these demands, and one of them is also to leave customers unsatisfied. I've worked with HP, SUN, IBM, Cray (and a whole bunch more vendors, no particular order) and they all have problems. Get real. And stop being religious. And also this thread. Thank you for your patience. Regards, Chris
