System configuration:
486DX-50Mhz
Adaptec 1742A EISA SCSI (enhansed mode irq 11)
SCSI Devices:
Fixed HDD Seagate SCSI1 Impimis 1Gb (ahb:0:0:0)
Removable NEC CD-ROM SCSI1 (ahb:0:2:0)
Sequential Removable WangDAT 3200 Tape Drive SCSI2 (4mm) (ahb:0:4:0)

OS: FreeBSD 2.0 RELEASE

problems:
After trying to make a backup (i.e. tar cvp .) system crashed
and all disks (i.e. /, /usr) were covered with lost chains and stuff.
No fixing were possible. (fsck error code: 11)
However it was possible to read TAPE.
There were 2 timeouts on Tapedrive.

System crashed twice in the same order - tar cvp . -> game over.

if somebody experienced the same - plese, let me know, I do want to
fix this problem, and yet - I'm afraid to touch the tape drive at all...

anyway, freebsd roolz ;)
