Although I am a german, I will never buy books which are translated into german because most of them are translated so badly, that you have to know the english translation to understand it ! Sometimes the german translation arrives and the software they are describing is already out-of-date. This happened, e.g., with a book for MS-Windows 2.1 programmers which arrived one week before MS-Windows 3.0 was sold in Europe ! There are some reasons why I prefer the original english books.
