What am I doing wrong? > I suspect that you're seeing this message when you connect to another modem after dialing via a macro (i.e. not doing your own ATDT...). If so, that's just Kermit responding to the text from your modem that indicated a 14,400 bps connection. If this is the case you can ignore the message. I run my modem (internal) at 115200 and get this message a time - no big deal. If you're curious about the status string coming from the modem, dial the line youself, (e.g. ATDT5551212).
