PowerPC systems are also now available from Motororola and Bull.
A clone market seems to be starting up as well. Most of these systems
will be shipping with either NT 3.5 or AIX 4.1. The prices will
be dropping, IBM's Model 40P is $3,995 with the client version of AIX
4.1, 16MB RAM 360HD 2PCI Slots 3ISA (No more Microchannel). If that
is IBM's price the clone market will have to beat it, and they will.
It is not soon off.
