My disk space is small, and so is my bandwidth, and it would be a big pain to download the whole source code and recompile it. It seems to me that all 386bsd compilations of gnu emacs would work on all machines, with the exception of the site-specific pathnames, and if I knew those, I could just download the binary. If it's not available ftp, maybe someone could uuencode it and mail it to me (possibly split)? (I've mailed files as large as 1 MB without problems.)
