The early 3Servers ran on an 80186 and were effectively dedicated hardware for running 3Share. They weren't blindingly fast, but very useful. They could share AppleShare as well as their own proprietry 3Com DOS client. I personally don't think you'll have any luck. Also, They didn't have "real" SCSI disks in them.. They used an Adaptec 4000 series SCSI->ST506 card (God, I still have a spare on the shelf). Sorry to be the bearer of such bad news. You could always use it as a fileserver !
