I am new to NetBSD 1.0. Recently I installed NetBSD 1.0 on my 386 PC.
Look through the etc directory and recompile the kernel, I can not
setup the multiple virtual console just like that in Linux or FreeBSD.

You need to read through the documents in /sys/arch/i386/isa/pcvt/Doc/.
NetBSD "ships" with pcvt in the source tree for doing virtual
consoles. You'll have to build a new kernel to enable it.

Even that my NetBSD can not be telneted login. It always told me "
telnetd : all network ports in use".

This means you need to increase the number of ptys in your kernel.
See any of the sample kernel config files in /sys/arch/i386/conf/.
Then build yourself a new kernel that has more ptys.
