Date: 21 Dec 1994 03:31:55 GMT Organization: Computer Science, MSU, Bozeman MT, 59717 Lines: 26 Message-ID: <3d87jb$mop@pdq.coe.montana.edu> NNTP-Posting-Host: schizo.coe.montana.edu My needs are simple, my wants few. I want a map for AMD to make it work like mounting a fs out of /etc/fstab. Specifically, when I say "cd /home/schizo/u0/xyzzy", I really, really want to see when I do a pwd, that my dir is /home/schizo/u0/xyzzy. Just like doing: "mount schizo:/home/schizo/u0 /home/schizo/u0". That's it. Nothing more. I can do really cool keyed mounts, and some other stuff with some of the examples from amdref.ps, but that tain't what I want, I just want straight mounts. Any way of doing this? The map doesn't have to be portable to multiple machines, or nothing fancy. Just a direct, plain old mount, no symlinks, no games, just mount the stupid dir. Thanks. -- Jaye Mathisen, COE Systems Manager (406) 994-4780 410 Roberts Hall,Dept. of Computer Science Montana State University,Bozeman MT 59717 osyjm@cs.montana.edu
