Date: 24 Dec 1994 00:53:34 -0800 Organization: Department of Redundancy Department Lines: 15 Message-ID: <3dgnie$5v7@linda.teleport.com> Reply-To: bmk@teleport.com NNTP-Posting-Host: linda.teleport.com I was having problems with page faults and reboots when running edquota, quotacheck and repquota on my system (DX2-66, 32MB, Adaptec 1542B). The problem seemed to manifest itself when I enabled quotas on more than one filesystem, although it may only happen when one is enabled. To make a long story short, replacing the Adaptec 1542B with Buslogic KT-445S local bus host adapter seems to have fixed the problem. I'm no kernel hacker, but this leads me to believe that there may be a problem in the FreeBSD 2.0 bounce buffer code. -- bmk@dtr.com | bmk@teleport.com | bmk@atlas.com | finger -l bmk@teleport.com for PGP public key. http://www.teleport.com/~bmk/ * http://www.teleport.com/~bmk/patriot.html
