If I do an "ntptrace xxx.yyy.zzz.com", it shows me that xxx is indeed running an ntp daemon. I then try "ntpdate -b -d xxx.yyy.zzz.com" and do not get an appropriate handshake with the remote system. (If I try the same command to the same address from one of my OSF/1 or ultrix boxes, I get the appropriate response, btw). The FreeBSD system is indeed trying to send to the right address and port, but no reply is received from the remote system. I've also tried this from a different FreeBSD 2.0R system to my local internet provider running BSDi. Still no go. Thanks. -------- Dave Knight knight@ka1dt.mv.com (home) Nashua, NH knight@caboom.zko.dec.com (work)
