Why shouldn't NT do the same thing? > Because you are talking about win16 programs running emulated. So the emulator can use the X protocol for the display requirements of the win16 apps. And there is unsolvable technical reason why NT's GDI shouldn't support distribution either but it is not there right now. Muzaffer
