I'm not sure that this should be a problem, unless of course you didn't link in the crypt library.... The way that passwords get mutated is pretty straight forward. I ended up creating a special user ID for mounting all of the shares from the NetBSD PC. It has an all uppercase name and a simple password that is not mixed case. > >Third, I cannot get the PC to see the exports of the Unix box. This would be a master browser problem. I have tried everything I can think of to get it to work. If (when trying to mount the Unix shares) I enter '//cynjut' the shares will appear as you would expect. The problem I am having now (and I fully expect to be a problem until I have an NT host running here) is that my hostname will not show up in the list. > >Any help would be appreciated. > -- TSgt Dave Burgess | Dave Burgess NCOIC, USSTRATCOM/J6844 | *BSD FAQ Maintainer Offutt AFB, NE | Burgess@cynjut.infonet.net or ...@s069.infonet...
