Ok, fair enough but "last" two small items :-)  NT supports a variety of 
different architectures in terms capability too (NT INTEL, MIPS and ALPHA
and PPC in beta) so the claim NT assumes homogeneous environment doesn't hold 
too much but I agree that basic model of windowing is different. Second is,
basically all I was saying from the beginning, that NT doesn't prevent
you from using X protocol compliant apps. It just doesn't support as the
only windowing environment but again "NT supports X protocol compliant
apps both running on NT with display on another machine and vice versa"

Now my question about FreeBSD: Is there a MACH server for FreeBSD ?
Or what is the best setup for MACH 3.0 or 4.0 running on one of the
free UNIX clones ?
