Anyone have any hints on how to do it? I had the same challenge ! I copied the distribution directories bindist, manpages, games, dict and xfree86_ from the Walnut Creek CDROM to directories with the same names on the DOS partition of my hard drive under DOS/Windows. Then I went through the documented installation process and found I had to make two adjustments :- (1) the MSDOS partition appeared under partition e rather than partition h, as shown in the documentation; and (2) the mount directory for MSDOS needed to be /mnt rather than /dos When prompted for the media to install from, I selected DOS. The device name to load from partition e is /dev/wd0e and I left the directory load point blank on the following screen. The installation process then successfully installs from the /mnt/bindist (c:\bindist) directory. This process worked fine for bindist, games, manpages and dict, but the xfree86_ directory could not be accessed as the installation process was looking for /mnt/XFree86-3.1 (c:\xfree86-3.1), which is obviously an invalid MSDOS directory name. Has anyone worked around this and managed to load XFree86-3.1 from a DOS partition ? The other problem I have is trying to add an option such as games if I've omitted it from the original installation. Any ideas ?
