One vendor I'm looking at prices the 2842 higher by about $50. What is that buying me? I am leaning towards the Buslogic because of the non-cooperation of Adaptec with the driver authors. P.s. If you're in the bay area, Halted has surplus NE2100 clones (is0) for $30, in the box with manual and driver disk. Sounds like a pretty stinking good deal to me. They work beautifully under PCNFS, and they at least probe properly under the boot floppy (if you boot with -c and tell it where the card lives). -- Nick Sayer <nsayer@quack.kfu.com> | "Why can't we be the persecuter?"
