I'm running FreeBSD 2.0 and having problems with the emacs 19.28 that
I think are originating in the syscons driver. Here's what I did:

I got and compiled emacs 19.28 from prep.ai.mit.edu. It
configured and compiled straight out of the box.

If I run this program on the console The cursor occasionally
doesn't return to column 0 but rather stops at column one before it
clears a line. For example If it type Esc-x man C-m (to pull up a
manual page) Emacs always puts this prompt into the mini-buffer:

     MManual-Entry:

The Double M comes because the cursor didn't return to column 0 before
emacs tries to clear the line.

Has anyone seen this before or any similar bugs in the FreeBSD 2.0
syscons driver?

C.
