NetBSD does not run, to the best of my knowledge, on PowerBooks or Duos in
particular.

I have seen grumblings recently in the mac68k port mailing list archives
(ftp://ftp.IaState.EDU/pub/netbsd/mailing-lists/macbsd-{development,general}/*
if you can't get onto ftp.NetBSD.ORG) about trying the latest (-current, as
opposed to NetBSD-1.0) release on PowerBooks, but I don't know what the status
of that is.

As soon as it runs on a Duo 230 you can bet I'll be the first person to try it
on mine (-:
