All:

I'm running ppp with routed as the dynamic host table. When I
initially boot, netstart tries to add the gateway to the network which
is unreachable. When I attempt to make the ppp connection (the boot
sequence is over and I have logged in), I have no problem making the
connection but when I try to ftp to various locations, I receive a
host lookup failure. Do I have to add the gateway to the network after
I make the ppp connection? BTW what are the differences between gated and
routed. A book I have states that routed had been very buggy in the
passed - gated is supposed to understand multiple protocols.

Thanks in advance
