Dunno for sure if this is the right newsgroup, but here goes:

Using the Walnut Creek CD-ROM distribution, I have some odd
redraw problems in X. Specifically,
        * twm neither draws nor erases menus correctly
When I click to pull down a menu, only the frame
appears at first. Specific items are painted in
as the cursor moves over them. When the menu
is dismissed, it is not erased properly.
        * xman has the same problem with pull-down menus
        * GhostScript does not draw in its window at all. It
                doesn't even erase the background.
        * Seyon has redraw problems in it's control window

Does anyone have any clues about this? I have no idea if
it's in the applications, the server, or somewhere in FreeBSD.
I'm not particularly experienced with X, so this is all still a
bit mystical. Note that many other programs have no drawing problems
at all. In particular, xterm has no problems with its menus or text
updating (except in a few circumstances when the system is _really_
overloaded ;-). I'm using the S3 server.
