No. : And does linux work on the sparc? No, but I think there's work underway to port it. : Which is best (obviously Linux is the least bsdish)? You won't find an answer to this question by asking it here. You have to try them both and decide for yourself. Although, since neither of them run on the SPARC, I suppose it doesn't really matter. : Do any of these ports run on the HP-9000/7xx series of : workstations? No. However I must say that if they did, and if I had about $20,000 to burn, I'd buy one in a second. : thanks in advance, : stuart b. tener : stuart@misty.com -Bill -- ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ -Bill Paul System Manager wpaul@ctr.columbia.edu Center for Telecommunications Research (212) 854-6020 Columbia University, New York City ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The Møøse Illuminati: ignore it and be confused, or join it and be confusing! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
