Sorry, Herb, but it was posts about things like "my level of emotional maturity is higher than yours" that torpedoed the merge attempts. That, and Jordan's "welcome to my killfile, Herb" post. Much as I respect both of you, you're providing an example in microcosm as you post. Lest anyone wonder, I have full archives of both discussions, and can (but won't) provide examples from both sides of the fence -- actually, I also have some 8x10 glossies of the fence building itself (current example included). I'd say that fully 3/4's of the members of both camps are probably still pro-merge (but won't be after the "merge 'discussion'" this post will probably now provoke on the part of well intentioned readers).
