I have tried several different controllers with dos and NetBSD-1.0. I do get this message. : Are you running ttyflags -a : Have you set the flags in ttys (man ttys) you might try (this is guessing): : tty00 "/usr/libexec/getty std.9600" dailup on rtscts : (if you have rts/cts handshaking which you should) I can call up the modem if I have the ttys entry and it will respond, but I would like to dial out. : try setting flags for tty00 with 'stty' I have tried the faq recommended 'stty -f /dev/tty00 clocal' with no effect.
