Therefore, I was wondering if someone had tried working with high speed networks on PCs using Linux or Free/Net BSD. In particular: 1. Has anyone had any experience writing Linux or Free/Net BSD drivers for PC based HiPPI cards? 2. Has anyone had any experience writing Linux or Free/Net BSD drivers for any other high speed networks, e.g., FDDI or 100MB/sec ethernet. I would appreciate any pointers you can give me.
