Is your modem doing compression or error correction? Seems I recall that some algorithms work on blocks of data, which may cause delays. You could try setting the modem to 14.4 KB (or 9600 if 14.4 isn't supported). I suppose it could still try to error correct; maybe the connect sequence would need to be changed somehow (more AT commands). Definitely not a modem expert, John Finley jfinley@netcom.com
