(I mean real Unix, not >these new fanlged bloated things like System V, BSD, or Linux. It's time >for a port of V7). If all you want is V7, then PCIX (a sys III) port of Unix to the 8086 would be right up your alley. No networking except UUCP, 64K limit on programs, runs on a 10MB 8086 with 640K memory. It works pretty well, but given the limitations of V7 I suspect you wouldn't be real happy. Remember, V7 had lots of limitations due to the hardware that it was written from. Be careful what you wish for, for you might actually get it. :-) Nate -- nate@FreeBSD.org | FreeBSD core member and all around tech. nate@schizo.coe.montana.edu | weenie. work #: (406) 994-5980 | Got lots of offers for work, now I need to home #: (406) 586-0579 | decide which job to take. :)
