Thanks for the suggestion of using a different boot manager but that
didn't seem to help. I am getting different numbers for my disk geometry
from every source.
Cyl: Heads:
Sectors:
BIOS: 524 32 63
Pfdisk 523 32
63
During Bootup 1120 16 59
Fdisk Screen on Install 1048 16 63
I have tried each by changing them using the geometry option during
installation. When I use the ones with 32 heads it says my hard drive
won't support that and reconfigures it to 16. The default during install
1048:16:63 allows me to boot to dos but not bsd. Which of these geometry
settings is correct, and which should I use?
Help! I seem to
be losing hair at an accelerated rate!
Thanks a lot for your time,
Derek
