When I first heard about BSD I was confused by all : the BSD variants -- NetBSD, FreeBSD, BSD386. Even though there are Linux : variants, they are all referred to as Linux. Having the BSD camp unite would : at least provide the press with some focus. I like the name somebody else : mentioned, OpenBSD. ^^^^^^^ I was the one who ... But after reading Jordans comments, what merging could mean, I doubt that it would be a good idea ... I think the best would be to stick with the BSD of your choice. BTW: it would be fine, if someone could think about a SPARC port for FreeBSD. Perhaps there are some nice people ... ?! ;-) Perhaps we reach OpenBSD better, if the differences between both releases minimize. So a multi platform approach on FreeBSD would be welcome I think.
