What version of *BSD are you running and also what version (or package) of kermit are you running? For a interim fix you might try: stty -f /dev/cua00 clocal and then run kermit. if you are running freebsd 2.0 you can grab a kermit package from ftp.cdrom.com or you can retreive the sources from kermit.columbia.edu cku190.tar.Z and do a make freebsd2 Scott
